Newhaven Marina does have a café, but I find that most anglers like the bacon butties served on the Carrick Lee by my crewman Guy. This is Guy’s own little franchise and he does a cracking sarnie.

The good thing about having your breakfast on the way out is you don’t have to get up too early and you can enjoy an extra hours fishing instead of queuing up in the café, you also get first choice of the marina’s free parking spaces.
